psp-new commer questions

hey gamespot,I have recently been considering a psp and have some questions1 I know there are a lot of versions of the psp. Can you list them and give me an overview of each one? which one would you recomend?2 how much memory does the psp come with?3 should i buy additional memory?4 what is ''modding'' your psp?5 does this really work? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6u77wkJ2bGU6 what can i do on a psp besides watch movies, play games,listen to music,surf the web?thanks in advance for your helppsp-new commer questions
first off we can't discuss 4 or 5. If you modd or pirate (get free games) you are stealing and not supporting the system. You may want to wait till E3 (next-week) to get a PSP. There are 4 diffrent bundle of the PSP coming out later (Dessidia, Rock Band, Hannah Montanna, and Assassins Creed) but Sony MAY and a big MAY annouce a new PSP. The psp can go on the PSN, use internet radio, and, tak e picutres with the PSP Go assesories. Oh and it also has Skype. The PSP doens't come with memory or a memory card unless you get a bundle that comes with one. I recommend 4GB or bigger if you use your psp alot. If you don't 2GB is more than enough. There are 3 diffrent models by the way:1000- Phat orignal one.2000- Slim one3000- a better psp 200 basically. Better screen, built in mic, etc. 3000 is best to get for new buyers but a 2000 is jsut as good and cheaper. So yeah may want to wait till the end of next week.psp-new commer questions

If u but a slivear PSP it might come a 2 gb card but i do not for sure.3. if u should u buy more memroy depean on how are u going to use it.4. do not go there!!!!!5.u just be rippeing off game's from sony so DO NOT DO IT!!!!!6. i have no clue but u can put it online and download demo's from the sony store.

i have another question, my friend told me that you can only use the internet for 24 hours on the psp and then you have to pay. Is this true? I have a wifi network that i pay for every month. Does this mean i have to pay extra just to use internet on the psp?

No. Your friend doesn't know what he talking about. You would only need to pay for your wi-fi if you have to already. Usign the internet on the PSP is 100% free (just need to buy the psp to pay...). Unless he meant that for full games on the PSN you ened money then yes but that is also not a monthly payign thing.

Does your friend a PSP...? But no you don't have to play a monthly fee to use the internet.

Your wireless router is basically your Wi-Fi. Most people have to pay monthly for thier Wireless Router but some don't. Also the PSP does come with skype when you update your firmware.
