it fell in the toilet

...... i got it from my sister and i was wondering if i call sony would the fix it for me and how much will it cost can someone help me? it fell in the toilet
.... it....fell...in the...toilet...? youch. umm i suppose it depends on how extensive the damage is.. did it smack the sides of the bowl or anything? how wet is it?it fell in the toilet
i can't tell because it needs charging. my sis moved today and she can't find the charger. but would they even attempt to fix it?
i reckon they would. it cant be TOO badly damaged, and im sure if you let it dry out it may even be able to turn on.. whether it will work is another story
Try blowdrying it. I would tell you to open it up and dry out the internals but that would void your warranty and you might be screwed. The best you can do for now is blowdry it as good as you can and take out the battery immediately.
is there sh.i t all over it?
im going to buy a charger tomorrow and try charging it. but if that doesn't work then im goingg to call Sony. has anyone ever for any reason had a PSP sent back to Sony for repairs before? If so how much did it cost and what was the problem?
is there sh.i t all over it?
no she was doing her hair and knocked it off the tank
my friend accidently pulled the wire for the charger while the psp was plugged in and the psp fell and got a big crack in the screen. he said it cost him $90 to get it fixed. but for water damage it may be a bit more since it probably affected the inside. but dont tell sony you dropped it in the toilet cuz they may not want to touch it :P

the name says everything lol. maybe phone sony first then send it to them
thanks for the heads up
Gross.  Would you even want to touch the thing after it's been in the toilet?

But if you don't care about that, just let it dry out.  I did my laundry with my samsung phone inside one of my jeans and it worked after I let it dry for a week.

you guys are giving me hope. when i charge it i find out. my nextel got soaked once and started working after it dried and one time my niece drooled all over my 360 controller and it stoped working for a minute
Wow, in the potty... Here's to hoping, right?  If it ends up working, you have to post again to let us know!

....you people actually advise trying to turn it on?....after its wet....

Blow dry it first, then leave it to dry out full for a couple of days..then try charging and then turning on
is there sh.i t all over it?
LOL LOL :lol::lol:

Hilarious!! I guess your name says it all lol.
I may be too late, but whatever you do, DONT turn on the psp when its wet inside, you'll just mess up the circuit board inside and then it will never work. Just take out the battery, maybe take off the cover, dry it off completely then try it. It should work after that.
lol

yo i wouldnt touch that now
