Slim or ''Fat'' PSP

ok...so i definitely wanna buy a psp. but i have been hearing some bad things about the slim. and i know there have been many too posts about this, and i have read just about all of them, but they dont give me clear enough answers. What are the problems with the new PSP? Should i just stick with the old version or get the new verion. Do the PSPs have a factory warranty on them in case mine does break i can get it replaced? Thank you in advance for all the help!Slim or ''Fat'' PSP
I heard the psp slim is better across the boardSlim or ''Fat'' PSP
Well i have a slim and i can tell you that if there is anything wrong with the slim psp its the same problems with the fat psp, but to answer your question it depends on the money, if you want a psp nd just a psp, get the core but from what i heard, its a fingerprint problem for 170$, if you want a different shade of psp, get a silver you wont be dissapointed, but all in all it kinda dosent make sense to buy a fat because it would be obsolete and you probably would wish you bout a slim in the future so just get a slim. hope i helped
you might as well buy a new slim one.
Not sure what problems you've been reading about. If it's the stuck/dead pixel problem, the fat PSP has that too. I'd go for the slim unless you want to save some cash. The slim has more internal memory and a tv video out. I don't think the fat version will go ''obsolete'' although I'm sure new games will make use of the extra memory. The extra memory should also help web browsing (i hope).I'm waiting for either the slim ''core'' release or the star wars version. It depends on the review of that game.
alrite thanks alot! ill definitely go for the slim now. o and...does anybody know if the slims have a factory warranty?

they're both very good. the slim has the edge on load times though.
all new systems or handhelds have a year warranty when you buy them
Slim performs better, but the fat is only $99 used, next week at Gamestop with a printable coupon on there website.

factory warrenty?
The gamestop guy asked me to play an extra 15 dollars to put a warranty on it, so when if it did get screwed up. I can go back and get a new one. oo;

I would say buy the older version.
I would say buy the older version.
Well the slim is way lighter, comes in more colors, and load times are faster when processing games, but the downside is that... well, well it feels cheaply made, unlike the phat... when you hold the phat in your palms, it just feels.. well-made and awesome..

i got the slim PSP and must say that its good but a couple of friends of mine have the original (fat) psp and it does feel more solid..
why even consider the fat psp. The only reason i can think of why anyone would ever buy a fat psp now, would be money issues. if you have no problem with money get the new psp. it doesn't have any problems. its thinner, lighter, faster, brighter, and also can be modded if you seek that.
It just depends on how much you want to spend. The differences between the 2 are so minor that most of what you hear from other people are just opinions anyway.I'd check out the specs and prices on both. Other than that though, I wouldn't trust much of what you hear. People can be pretty biased when it comes to which psp..
The slim may have faster loading times, but i like the fat. The slim leaves the LCD screen vulnerable while the fat's screen is protected.
Slim has *kind of* better hardware.I like my slim though, it's easy on the hands.
