I live in the Philippines(southeast asia)I've got a HUAWEI E220 HSDPA USB MODEMhttp://www.huawei.com/mobileweb/en/products/view.do?id=282I've been trying to setup my PSP's connection for a week, but everytime I create a new infrastructure mode connection and scan, it says:''No acces points detected. Do you want to try again?''Its a PSP 2000WLAN switch is onI do it in front of my laptop, which is connected and plugged to my HUAWEI USB MODEMversion:5.00 M33-3PLEASE HELP!!!HELP!!! Can't detect access point
Right, so the E220 is device which only gives an internet connection to the device it is connected to. Also, the E220 uses HSDPA for its wireless connection while the psp uses wifi or 802.11b.
In other words, you would need to buy a third piece of equipment to give your psp internet access. The simplest solution for your would probably be something like the PSP WiFi Max. You could also buy a normal wireless router, and connect it to your computer via ethernet, but there are some special settings you would have to do.HELP!!! Can't detect access point

I'd go for the router, how much do those cost?
What special settings?
Routers can cost anywhere from $30 to well over $100. Unless you are familiar with networking, I would not recommend going this route. Otherwise, I would go for a WRT54GL, with the custom firmware DD-WRT flashed onto it. After that I would set the router up as a wireless bridge, connect it via ethernet to my laptop. Set a static ip on the laptop and router. And then on Windows, set up a software bridge between my ethernet port and the USB modem. I have never actually done this before, but I would expect it to work. Although there may be a small detail which I am not thinking of right now...

You get what you pay for, in other words, if it is cheap, it could tear up, not work completely, or even be horrible, so watch out.
i'd definitely just buy a linksys router easy to setup i use it for everything laptop xbox ipod touch psp cost me about 50 dollars
Thanks for the help everyone, but I've decided not to do the PSP WiFi thing anymore
