Q>switching memory card

is it ok if i switch/change my memory stick while the Psp is On? no risks?Q%26gt;switching memory card
I always turn it off first just to be on the safe side, but I don't really know if it couldQ%26gt;switching memory card
I would think it's the same thing as taking a thumb drive out of a computer, but you never know. Things are always getting damaged and malfunctioning, so if I were you I'd take the extra precaution.
As long as it's not being accessed, it should be same to remove. Still, I always turn my PSP off when I do it, just to be completely safe.
Even though I rarely change memory cards, I usually have my PSP on while doing it. I haven't had any problems with it. I just got a 4gb to replace my 512mb and you have to keep the system on to transfer the save data.
I hot switch all the time. I don't even turn off USB mode. Just make sure that your PSP isn't actively reading/writing the memory stick.
