Get excited about the PSP Go!

As many of you know the PSP Go! has been leaked. It seems that every website I go to have people complaining about how sony decided to redesign the PSP when the PSP 3000 seems like it just came out. Well the obvious answer is hackers. Have you noticed that for like the past 2 years there has been less than great games coming for the PSP? Then out of nowhere in 2009 theres this awesome new line up. Developers stopped supporting the PSP because alot of consumers who have a PSP have custom firmware and can easily pirate the games. So why in the world would develpers make games for something when they are not gonna make any money off it. The PSP Go! is sony's answer to that problem. They say that they are going to continue to support those with the older PSP by still offering the 3000 but to me this is just the begining of the end for it. Developers want to make money and most likely slowy but surely they will abandon UMD. I sort of went off topic there but my main point is that we put sony in a corner and they found a way out of it. I know most of you know this but this is for the people who don't understand why sony is releasing it.PS People should be happy about this. Now developers have a reason to make games for it.Get excited about the PSP Go!
Sony needs to be really careful how they price this thing.I'm convinced that a $199 price point will allow them to take a LOT of the wind out of the sails of the Nintendo DSi.Would you buy a DSi for $179 or a PSP Go for $199?IF they decide to be stupid and price it higher, then they deserve to fail.I also agree that this was released to help software (legitimate) sales and also counter used game sales. The new form factor also helps.I got a PSP 2000, in absolutely perfect condition for $77 the other week so I could care less. But I believe if they're smart and charge $199...this could succeed in a big way.Get excited about the PSP Go!
meh i still got 3000 and ill just get bigger memory stick and download some games :P

I mean it already looks unatractive enough to the normal consumer (hardware wise not look. l personally think it looks very sexy)

I argue that Sony can afford to set the PSP Go! at this price point because they are NOT changing up any of the main hardware specs. You're not getting a faster processor, OLED screen, or more RAM. In fact, you're getting 16 GB of FLASH RAM...that's 30-40 bucks tops. The PSP has been on the market for 4 years now? No real changes to the hardware spec AND you're getting less screen real estate...I can't imagine the production cost of the new PSP Go to be more than $200.PSP 3000 is $169...perhaps drop the price down to $149 and then PSP Go! for $199 seems like a great idea.
well, time to build a 32 gig stick for my 3000, cuz it looks like it's dd from here on out. screw you, sony.
Not to meantion that most people who buy games are not hardcore gamers and don't really get the idea of removing the UMD drive

Most people believe that it won't effect the current PSP at all but how long do you think developers are going to allow things like rock band unplugged getting leaked? Harminox lost a lot of money because of that. DD is gonna take over
I'd be happier with a PSP with dual analog thumb sticks. I could not stand playing games on my PSP with the single D pad.
So what happens to the 50 million PSP's out there then?
So what happens to the 50 million PSP's out there then?
Samething that would have happened if sony didnt do this. Developers wouldnt makes games so it would eventually be a fail and just be a system with out games
oh yea im excited cant wait
